Meet some genuine allies
Motivation : I have chosen to devote my time to allow children to enjoy, just as I do, the camp site, which is in a beautiful woodland environment. It is important for me to take care of the camp site, to help with the logistics and prepare everything. These children need us in order to have the best stay of their lives. This is where their lives will change. This is where they will develop a sense of belonging and even identify the camp as a potential second home. In my opinion, it was imperative to invest quality time with the extraordinary people at Camp Carowanis, because these connections allow for the development of autonomy and even learning to better manage one’s type 1 diabetes. Finally, I chose to volunteer to change lives! !

Motivation: As a diabetic, Camp Carowanis is the best place to learn how to challenge yourself, trust yourself and manage your diabetes. In addition, the family spirit and the many friendships created over time help us grow as people. The magic created by this place positively changes the lives of campers and their families. For all these reasons and more, I continue and will continue to give time to Camp Carowanis and Fred so that other children can have this experience.
History: For my part, I came to Camp Carowanis as a camper, monitor, then group leader from 2007 to 2019. Even today, I continue to get involved for this great cause. Dear to my heart.

Motivation :Camp Carowanis has a constant need to renew its facilities and equipment, the safety of children being our main concern. This priority is the same for André and the Lions, who improve and maintain the site so that the children can focus on the essentials: having fun.
History: Involved through the U-1 District Lions Club, André is the chairman of the Camp Carowanis committee. For more than 20 years now Lions clubs have contributed time and money to camp, and their contribution goes far beyond what can be calculated. André's commitment to the cause goes back decades. He invested himself wholeheartedly in this cause that is dear to him, and we are infinitely grateful to him.
