Taxie, Programming Coordinator (since 2015)

A camper since 2006, Taxie spends every summer at camp. At the age of 8, her dream was to someday swim across Lake Didi! (Mission accomplished). She has been a staff member since 2015 and loves working with children and using her imagination as they do! Now a Programming Coordinator, Taxie organizes and plans the typical camp activities she loved so much when she was a camper. As a university student in recreation and leisure, she is grateful to the camp for introducing her to the passion of animation. She is now happy to be able to put this knowledge into practice every summer. Her wish is to be able to help the camp as much as the camp has helped her.

Amazone

Amazone, Operations Coordinator (since 2016)

In 2013, Amazone, a 14-year-old camper, dreamed of meeting other young people who were living in the same reality as her. As soon as she joined the Carowanis family, she made it her goal to participate in all organized canoe-camping expeditions. She developed the desire to surpass herself. Part of the staff since 2016, she has held the position of Operations Coordinator since 2021. Behind the scenes, she makes sure that everything runs smoothly so that campers have all the tools they need to excel. As a student in microbiology and immunology, she aspires to continue to be involved in whatever way she can to pass on the magic of Camp Carowanis to future generations!

Sriracha

Sriracha, Camp Life Coordinator (since 2021)

A new addition to the camp family since last year, Sriracha unfortunately didn’t have the chance to experience camp when she was young. However, she wants to make up for lost time. To that end, Sriracha will be the camp life coordinator this summer with one ultimate goal in mind: everyone’s happiness. She will do everything in her power to put a smile on the children’s faces, help her colleagues and oversee the magic of Carowanis. Nature lover, hyperactive (without caffeine!), curious and spicy, she will stay at camp until the day she sees a frog and a moose fishing on Didi Lake.

Ukulélé

Ukulélé, Head Leader (since 2017)

Ukulele has been flourishing at the camp since 2008. As a former camper since a young age, she already had ambitions of becoming a leader and then a counselor. She had already immersed herself in the magic of Carowanis. Her biggest dream is to perfectly reproduce the famous camp crackers recipe at home! (She is still working on it.) Since 2021, she has overseen the training of leaders, our future peer instructors! A graduate in cultural action, she wishes to transmit her passion for leisure and animation to the leaders and offer an unforgettable stay to the campers.
